Having to pay $700,000 (not including taxes, lawyer fees, engineer, and a bunch of things) for a home that is really worth only $250,000 (and really was listed at that price a few years ago) is going to cripple the economy. Taking out loans in huge amounts will result in skyrocketing mortgage payments and massive (and unfair, imo) profits for the banking industry. The banking industry makes an insane amounts of money and does not adjust their interest rates accordingly with the public that has deposited their money into the bank.

I am currently in the market to buy a five unit multi-family property listed at $180,000. Because it is considered a commercial property I’m having a hard time finding a lender that does commercial loans under $500,000. I should be able to put 20% down by drawing equity out of another propriety so I don’t foresee there being a problem financing it. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Anyone know a reputable bank that does loans on commercial vehicles at a reasonable interest rate? I need a fast decision. We were pre-approved, but when I told them I was looking at a 2004 with 13,000 miles on it, rather than a 2006 I had originally looked at, they changed the terms to something unpalatable to me. Any links appreciated.
